Liquid Earth is a unique music, culture and environmental festival capturing the beauty of the Whitsunday coast and drawing on Australia's most popular entertainers.
The Liquid Earth Music Festival will come exclusively to Airlie Beach in November this year. It will be an event of international recognition designed as a platform to raise awareness of environmental issues.
The event will take place on the 3rd of November 2007 from 10:00am - 12:00 in a natural amphitheatre at the gateway to the picturesque Whitsunday Islands.
The Liquid Earth Music Festival is a gathering of like minded people with a desire to be part of the environment in a balanced and sustainable way.
The goal of Liquid Earth is to encourage the human environmental conscience. People are more likely to take action when they are affected emotionally and feel connected and responsible for the people and environment around them. The best way to connect people is through the senses. Sound, Vision, Taste and Touch.
Through the Liquid Earth Music Festival we can use the senses to connect people with environmental philosophies on an emotional and spiritual level.
Our philosophy is that if we can promote a human environmental conscience to enough people, eventually we will reach a tipping point where it will be socially unacceptable to do harm to the environment.
3dom Events initially set up the Liquid Earth Music Festival to present a platform to raise funds for the local sporting groups and community However from this point we have also discovered a way to influence, on a large scale, environmental awareness and sustainable living practices
Liquid Earth is continuously working with the EPA in developing environmental strategies to bring to the public
Liquid Earth wants to develop relationships and affiliate with other environmental organisation and participate in other campaigns .
With the support from Ranger Tim and the EPA we can educate, advertise and provide practical simple green tips that the community can become actively involved with.
The environmental consequence of following the green tips can be monitored and measured in terms of carbon credits and volume of green house gas emissions and the community can see what they have done towards a more sustainable existence
. This has now become the main focus to fuel our drive and make this event successful with a positive long term measurable impact.
We hope to eventually bring recycling and environmental awareness to the surrounding community developing an environmental culture and positive direction towards creating a smaller footprint.
